Here is a very large cluster of fluorite crystals from Mekhtar, Balochistan Region, Pakistan. The fluorite is bicolored with sharp, interlocking crystals. This whole piece formed after calcite, which dissolved and left very large, hollow casts on the back. The fluorite fluoresces blue under UV light. The piece has a small prop holding it up to display like this and does not self stand without it.
A fantastic, highly aesthetic specimen from this fairly recent find! Dimensions: 14.5 by 13.5 by 9 cm.
Weight: 1218 grams (2.72).
