Up for sale is a very rare beautiful WILLIAM HARNDEN FOSTER framed color lithograph of the THE SUNSHINE SPECIAL locomotive.

It originally hung in the old Nashville Union Station Train Depot from the early 1900's to the 1970's. During the 70's the depot was in terrible condition and closed. Someone at that time decided to give the lithograph to Famous Nashville Banner editorial cartoonist Jack Knox as a token of appreciation for his love of Nashville history.

Knox's office was across the street from the station. The mahogany frame measures approximately 27 1/2" x 29 1/2". The lithograph approximately 21 1/2" x 23 1/2". I believe the nameplate is brass. It's lettering is a beautiful 1900's motif with gold accent.

The litho is also signed in print by FOSTER. Everything indicates the item was framed in the early 1900's. An absolutely rare piece of Nashville train history. Thank you for looking and please stay safe.
